Medallion Manor offers a wide variety of services needed for the growth and development of those who call us home.
ICF/MRs offer unique training not found anywhere else in the care of the developmentally disabled. This training is called active treatment. Through active treatment individuals are trained in special areas called programs. These programs specialize in areas of day to day living and teach individuals to become as independent as possible. Some examples of programs include, eating, bathing, dressing, tooth brushing, money management, and cooking. Programs are tailored to each individual and address areas in each persons life that can be improved.
Work training is also an important part of Medallion Manor. We currently have contracts with two different sheltered workshops. Different areas of work training include cafeteria work, laundry services, and recycling services. Individuals receiving training and instruction on specific job duties to help them reach personal goals and objectives.

Many consultants provide professional care for those who reside at Medallion Manor. A social worker assists individuals by maximizing social functioning, providing counseling, and serving as an advocate to assure human civil rights. A dietician works closely with the kitchen and nursing staffs to monitor weights and meal content. A hearing and speech therapist analyzes hearing ability and works on speech habits through reading, listening, and group interaction. Health is supervised by our excellent nursing staff who coordinate visits to the doctor, dentist, and other health care professionals.
